IH K and KB Series Trucks built 1940-1949

If you are trying to locate your Capacity Plate (with VIN), on the K-Series, it was located inside the cab on the kick panel between the cowl and door on driver's side. On the KB series, it was moved to under the hood, attached to the cowl on the right side, toward the top. The VIN was also stamped on the left side frame rail behind the front spring hanger, close to the bumper mounting bracket toward the bottom of the frame.
